Bindaas Opening from Rasika's Vikram Sunderam; Alex McCoy Does Po' Boys

CLEVELAND PARK— Ashok Bajaj is transforming a portion of Ardeo + Bardeo into Bindaas, devoted to Indian street food. Rasika and Bombay Club chef Vikram Sunderam will oversee the menu, but the food will be more focused on snacks and smaller items than its sister restaurants. An August opening is the goal. [WaPo]

STERLING— A second location of Burton's Grill is opening in the Cascades Overlook development in Sterling. The American restaurant, which originally debuted in Alexandria, will open in August at 21434 Epicerie Plaza (the development also houses a Chuy's, and will be the eventual home of a Colada Shop and Ocean Blue. PARK VIEW— When the Alfie's pop-up closes at the end of the month, chef Alex McCoy will replace it with po' boy shop Tchoup's Market. He's trying to eventually find a bigger home for Alfie's downtown. [WCP]
