ARLINGTON—Spanish pintxos and sangria are coming to Wilson Blvd, via Pamplona, a new concept from Social Restaurant Group. Executive Chef James Martin has crafted a menu filled with chorizo, serrano ham and other Spanish delicacies. [EaterWire]

CONVENTION DEALS—Election season is so much fun, isn't it? Making it even more fun are the following: City Tap is giving Cap Hill staffers (with business cards) a drink on the house on the last day of the DNC and RNC. Meanwhile, Ventnor Sports Cafe is showing every night of both conventions, and will have themed food and drink specials. [EaterWire]

BROOKLAND—Sundays are for fried foods at Brookland's Finest. Every week's end in summer, the restaurant is adding local sustainable (beer-battered) fish to the weekly fried chicken dinner. There are also new seasonal cocktails. [EaterWire]
