1) VAN NESS: "Coming soon" signage is up for Sfoglina from Fabio Trabocchi, PoPville notes. The restaurant, now hiring, should open in the fall. [PLYWOOD]

2) BETHESDA: Red Bandana Bakery will open a location at 8218 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda. Their speciality is gluten-free goods. [PLYWOOD]

3) ALEXANDRIA: A building permit has been issued for Portner Brewhouse. The brewery is slated for 5570 Dow Ave. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

4) KENSINGTON: Local Peruvian chicken chain Crisp and Juicy is headed to Kensington. This location replaces a former one in Wheaton that burned down (there are several others throughout the region). [PLYWOOD]
