Taylor Gourmet's original location is getting a facelift.
Co-owner Casey Patten tells Eater the restaurant, located at 1116 H St. NE in the Atlas District neighborhood, will close "for a few weeks" for a minor facelift. There's no exact timeline for the repairs yet.
Taylor devotees (including an Eater tipster who wrote in concerned about the potential closure) shouldn't be worried that the shutter could become permanent. "That location is like my first child," said Patten via email.
Taylor Gourmet, known for its Philly-inspired hoagies, is one of the more prominent local chains in the area, with locations scattered throughout the region. The original opened in 2008.
