Primi Piatti will close its doors at the end of the month.
The restaurant is shutting down after first opening in 1987. The Washington Post reports owner Savino Recine is selling the place to chef Luigi Diotaiuti of Al Tiramisu. The new buyer actually used to work at Primi Piatti years ago.
The restaurant will host goodbye dinners on July 14 and 21, but is still figuring out its exact last day. No word yet on what Diotaiuti is planning for the space.
Eater is tracking all of 2016's restaurant closures here.
