Mark and Donnie Wahlberg's burger chain now has not one, but two locations coming to the D.C. area.
Wahlburgers has signed a lease for Ballston. The location will occupy more than 6,000 square feet adjacent to the Ballston Common shopping mall at Wilson Blvd. and Glebe Road, in the Ballston Point building. The burger joint will open in early 2017.
Wahlburgers previously announced plans for a location in Dupont Circle. The plan is for a major expansion in the D.C. area, including Maryland. The Ballston location will have both fast-casual and full-service options, as well as a patio and retail section.
Wahlburgers offers fish, chicken, burgers, sides, and similar items, and has been the subject of a reality television series. It is based in Massachusetts, and has been rapidly expanding from there.
