FALLS CHURCH—The latest addition to Eden Center involves Thai street food. Kao Sarn has opened its doors in the inner mall-area of the center, according to the center’s Facebook page. The restaurant offers takeout, dine-in and catering options; no website yet. [FB]

AWARDS SEASON— Bon Appetit has released its list of the 50 Best New Restaurants in the country (they’ll eventually narrow the field to ten). Three D.C. hot spots made the initial cut, including Filipino favorite Bad Saint, the ambitious Tail Up Goat, and locavore haven The Dabney. Cue even longer lines for Bad Saint, and tougher reservations for the latter two. [BA]

ADAMS MORGAN— Yamas Mediterranean Grill wasn’t long for Adams Morgan. The neighborhood, which has seen several major closings in 2016, can now count the gyro spot as an additional casualty. Borderstan reports that a Vietnamese restaurant will replace it (the owner said he had trouble balancing the business with caring for an ailing relative). [Borderstan]
