It's opening day for the newest location of Buredo. The sushi burrito experts are debuting their Dupont Circle location today at 11 a.m. at 1213 Connecticut Ave. NW.

The newest location of the restaurant promises new menu items. UPDATE: Those include new "surf 'n turf" and spicy tuna burritos, and a new vegetarian bowl with an edamame base. They've added some new sauces, too.

Buredo's large sushi rolls are stuffed with such ingredients as salmon, tuna, and shrimp tempura. There are several vegetarian offerings as well. The first 200 people who show up to the restaurant can get free burritos today.

Buredo made a major splash when its first location opened last year at 825 14th St. NW downtown. The popular fast-casual option often draws major lines during peak lunch hours. Since then, some other sushi burrito competitors have emerged, including SeoulSpice in NoMa (home of the "korrito") and Rolls by U in Rosslyn (Maki Shop has also served up larger hand rolls similar to sushi burritos since it opened last year).
