NAVY YARD— It looks like Shake Shack is opening up a location in Navy Yard. Washington Business Journal reports the beloved hamburger chain is headed to 50 M St. SE, right by the ballpark (which already has an outpost of the chain). A 2017 opening is planned, according to the report. Eater reached out to reps for any additional details, but did not hear back.
CAPITOL HILL—Big news in reviews this week: Tom Sietsema has already given four stars to Aaron Silverman’s Pineapple & Pearls. The Rose’s Luxury follow-up was also named one of Eater’s best new restaurants of the year. In his chat this week, the critic says this is the first time he's ever given a restaurant four stars right out of the gate. [WaPo]
LOGAN CIRCLE— Tomato lovers, next week is the week to head to The Pig. The restaurant is offering a tomato-themed tasting menu that will kick off next Monday and run the whole week. The dinners (with tomatoes sourced from the company’s farm) are $35 per person for four courses. [EaterWire]
