CAPITOL HILL— Mark the calendar for August 21 — that's when Beuchert's Saloon is planning to host a Tacos and Taps party. The outdoor festiveness will include water balloons, as well as plenty of tacos. More details here.

DOWNTOWN— The date has been set for Old Ebbitt Grill's annual Brewhaha. September 24 brings music, beer, food, and more. Details here.

RICH PEOPLE THINGS—Blue Duck Tavern is adding a Petrossian American caviar plate to its menu, beginning September 6. It will go for $110 per serving, and include a one-ounce tin of California white sturgeon. It'll be available in the lounge during dinner service with traditional accompaniments.

LAWSUITS—A long-in-the-works lawsuits against Chipotle from a former D.C.-based employee has been resolved. A jury has awarded the worker more than half a million in damages after she was allegedly fired for becoming pregnant, Washington Business Journal reports. [WBJ]

DOWNTOWN—Opo Bar & Lounge is the name of a bar that will operate within the Trump Hotel when it opens in D.C. And the plan is to include, among other amenities, a tasting of high-end wines — served on a crystal spoon. [Washingtonian]

U STREET—The Saloon is closed for summer break. The bar will shut down in August while the ownership does charity work in India. They’ll return to business September 1. [PoP]
