First Lady Michelle Obama dined at one of the newest hotspots in D.C. last night, RPM Italian.

The sleek Italian restaurant, which is owned by reality television stars Bill and Giuliana Rancic, received a visit from the First Lady Thursday evening. She dined at the restaurant with two friends. According to a rep, such dishes as shredded brussels sprouts salad, whole roasted branzino, chocolate torta, and lobster caprese (a favorite of owner Giuliana Rancic) were eaten by the group. The rep said the group had kind words for the staff about the restaurant when leaving as well.

The First Lady is known for visiting some of the city's hottest restaurants over the past several years. She's been spotted at 50 different places around town, visiting some destinations like Masseria, Chez Billy Sud and Fiola Mare several times.

RPM Italian, which originally opened in Chicago, opened here in June, and has received critical praise for its pastas since opening.
