Trump Wire

Fresh on the heels of a second weekend of nationwide protests against the new administration, Taylor Gourmet co-founder Casey Patten walked into a PR minefield by appearing in a photo op with President Donald Trump. The sandwich maker, on hand for a meeting at the White House regarding small business regulations, was savaged on social media by one-time supporters perturbed with Patten for fraternizing with the divisive commander in chief. Beer Here

Sours Week is back at The Partisan now through Feb. 5, featuring a menu of 10 sours on draft picked by beer director Greg Engert. The select pours are available a la carte or in flight form, with "charcuterie pairings" from chef Nate Anda.

Mapping Michelin

Travel site Orbitz has created an interactive map plotting the location of every Michelin-starred restaurant in the U.S., including the most recent 12 additions in D.C. An open source algorithm calculates the shortest route to visit them all. Fun fact: The longest trip between the 169 starred stops is the 2,111-mile drive between Bouchon in Yountville, Calif., and El Ideas in Chicago.

Plywood Report
