BLOOMINGDALE/TV LAND—DCity Smokehouse is going to be featured on the January 15 episode of Travel Channel’s Food Paradise. To celebrate, the newly opened eatery is offering its half smoke and spiced fries combo for $10 total (rather than $8 and $5, respectively.) [EaterWire]

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Two celebrity sightings to add to the radar: Josh Altman and brother Matt Altman — of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles fame — were spotted hanging at The Next Whisky Bar inside Watergate Hotel. FOGGY BOTTOM—There’s a brand new pricey-as-heck drink on the menu at Bourbon Steak. “The 99,” which, natch, costs $99 is comprised of Stoli vodka, Dom Perignon 2006, raspberry eau de vie and yuzu juice. It debuts on Monday. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN—Charlie Palmer Steak is introducing a new weekly menu. Friday evenings brings a new chef tasting menu, which will highlight one special “hyper-seasonal” or luxury ingredient through about five or so courses. The special Friday meal is going for $85. [EaterWire]

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Beefsteak, the veggie-focused restaurant from José Andrés, has re-introduced a veg-centered sandwich: the BEETsteak. It’s a large steak of a marinated gold or red beet, along with other burger-like fixin’s and an olive oil brioche bun. It’s going for $4.99. [EaterWire]

ALEXANDRIA—We have an updated timeline for the opening of Myron Mixon’s Pitmaster Barbecue. Soft opening, with limited menu items, is going from 1/23 through 1/27; full grand opening is 1/30. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN—Alta Strada City Vista has some new menus — both for dinner and brunch. Dinner’s focused on giving the people what they want (with the most popular dishes reigning) while brunch is focused on providing more dishes at more accessible price points. [EaterWire]

Each Tuesday night, the restaurant will offer a $30 prix fixe menu, which comes with a choice of entrees sized for two to share.
