City Tap House in Dupont Circle opened yesterday for its first dinner service. The huge 9,300-square-foot restaurant is open for dinner this week, brunch and dinner this upcoming weekend, and will start serving lunch the following week.

This is the second City Tap location in Washington, and diners can expect to find 40 draft lines and a 40-seat copper-topped square bar at the Dupont outpost. This location will feature new menu additions like grilled ahi tuna with shrimp and avocado ceviche and pumpkin burrata bruschetta.

Empire Builder

The New York Times followed along with Mike Isabella during construction tours of his new French restaurant Requin at The Wharf, digging into how he’s opened restaurants in D.C. that span a “United Nations of cuisines” from Italian to Mexican to Greek and Mediterranean. Not only that, NYT dubs him the “very model of the modern major chef.”
