New Sports Bar G.O.A.T. Is a Win for Arlington

Huge 350-seat sports bar and lounge the G.O.A.T opened this month in Clarendon, complete with three full bars and tables spanning two levels.

Located at 3028 Wilson Boulevard (inside the former Hard Times space), executive chef Mike Cordero has a lineup of American comfort food patrons can enjoy while taking in game-day views from one of 60 TV screens throughout.

Other interactive perks include a champagne room, arcade games, and a photo booth. One of the partners behind the Arlington entrant is Scott Parker, co-founder of A-Town Bar and Grill, Don Tito, and Barley Mac.

The Tale of Two Bars News: Facebooker Gwen Robertson says it’s “a sports bar that is long awaited for in the Clarendon area. The Pac-Man, the skee ball and basketball game of old gives a little nostalgia. The downstairs and upstairs seem like two different places. An upscale sports bar in need of an happy hour. The drink prices are expensive.” [Facebook]

The Sweet Service News: Yelper Marla E., who’s been for a dinner with few friends, “had the best experience ever thanks to my waitress Sandra! She took such a good care of us.” Yelper Paul D. engaged with “attentive and friendly bartenders on the second level bar.” [Yelp]

The Game On News: Yelper Leah M. says it’s the “perfect place to watch football or play some games.” Yelper Charles G. notes there’s a “bunch of arcade games in the back (think a small Dave and Busters with skeeball, basketball and games of chance/skill).” [Yelp]

The Food News: Yelper Maryann C. got the Mexican torta and “was very happy with that decision. The hoagie was a good portion and definitely filled me and was delicious ... friends ordered a basket of fried pickles, which were pretty soggy and undercooked.” Yelper Walito A. notes there’s “good solid AMERICAN classics on the menu mixed with a few nice surprises like the smoked duck sliders and fried oysters.” Victoria G. says “the shrimp skewers are very good.” [Yelp]
