Bresca Customers Are Crazy For Its Pastas To Cocktails

Ryan Ratino’s super popular Bresca debuted on the bustling 14th Street corridor last month.

A well-seasoned chef with an eye for detail, Ratino dazzled customers at recently shuttered Ripple and trendy Masa 14 with artfully arranged dishes melding whimsy and seasonality.

Now, at his new self-led eatery, he’s got a rooftop garden in place, a globe-spanning menu, and fresh pastas. There’s also three dozen pieces of china the award-winning chef has stockpiled over the years to use as canvases for each order the kitchen sends out.

The Michelin, Man News: Facebook user Mike Worley says “you guys should reserve a spot on the wall to put up that little red Michelin Star plaque they give out. Ryan Ratino killed it with this place. Absolutely fantastic, all around.” And Facebooker Doug Damron says, “Wow. This is Michelin star quality food. Can't wait to go back.” [Facebook]

The I’ll Be Back News: Yelper Mariska B. says, “the sea urchin pasta was insanely good, and I would go back just for that. Like maybe tomorrow. We live down the street so that will be easy.” And Victor J. says it was “overall [an] interesting meal. Would I return? The Carb News: TripAdvisor’s @napman says “the pasta was perfectly prepared and the subtle favors blended perfectly. The sweetbreads made a more bolder statement but the mix of flavors and textures were wonderful.”

The ‘Phenominal’ News: Yelper Fly G. says the cocktails “are more than a little great. The drinks are absolutely phenomenal. Every drink that I had from here has been the best drink of the night.” And Hibah J. notes the “phenomenal service, A+ wine list, and the best oysters I've ever had. Go here now.
