Cantina Marina Returns for Two Final Happy Hours

Although it technically closed last month, the owners of seasonal watering hole Cantina Marina are throwing heartbroken regulars one last lifeline by reopening for happy hour November 2 and November 3.

“The weather is so incredibly nice,” co-owner Nick Fontana says of the spur-of-the-moment decision to give locals another chance to say goodbye. “But that will probably be it.”

He suspects that there’s very little food left but estimates that drinkers should be fine. “It’s gonna be bar with maybe some nachos,” he says, adding, “It’s really for cocktails.”

The plan is to burn off the last of the inventory from around 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Those who miss this encore appearance will have to wait a few more weeks to check out sibling concession stand, Cantina Bambina.

The mini-eatery inside the Wharf remains a work in progress; Fontana says the goal is to get it fully operational by the time the holiday boat parade (Saturday, December 2) comes to town. Then again, an unseasonably warm forecast could spur a pop-up situation at District Pier.

“If it’s a nice weekend, we might be out there vending some beer,” Fontana says.
