CAPITOL HILL—The historic Dubliner is promoting its first-ever Irish whiskey advent calendar now through Saturday, December 23. Spirits lovers can sip a highlighted whiskey every day at half its normal price.

DOWNTOWN—The Ritz-Carlton just erected a 30-foot gingerbread replica of the Washington Monument. Check out the time-lapse video here.

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Potential bad news for bagel lovers: A Popiille tipster says that all three Bruegger’s Bagels stores in D.C. are allegedly closing Sunday, December 10.

WEST END—The Fairmont hotel now has tea service from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For $35, guests can overlook the ice skating rink in the hotel’s festive courtyard while enjoying herbal elixirs in a wood and slate bento box. Prefer something stonger? Add champagne ($50) to the equation, or opt for rosé ($55). Kids cost $17.50.

ARLINGTON—Starting on Friday, December 1, cross-country travelers flying between DCA and LAX on Delta One have higher-end edible options on board. LA-based celebrity chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo’s new menu includes ingredients from SoCal farmers like Mike and Songs Egg Ranches, Domenico’s Foods for the ravioli, and Schaner Family Farms for sage and citrus.

DOWNTOWN—Newcomer Rare Steak and Seafood is now doing happy hour. Offered seven days a week, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., alcohol specials include half-price wine and $5 beer and cocktails. There’s also $1 oysters and other discounted bites like ahi tuna, chef’s pots, and Maine mussels. 1595 I Street NW

H STREET—Three-year-old Micho’s Lebanese Grill is taking a long holiday break to refresh its interiors. According to a sign posted on its door (500 H Street NE), the fast-casual eatery shuttered last week for a month-long renovation.

McLEAN—Lettuce Entertain You, the brand behind RPM Italian, Joe’s Seafood, Stella Barra, and more, is rewarding holiday gift card buyers with $25 for themselves now through December 30. The thin presents can be delivered via UPS and senders can include a personal message. E-gift options are also available.

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Long Shot Hospitality’s 5th Annual DC Firefighters Burn Foundation Tree Lot is in full swing at beer-friendly Sixth Engine, with a second location added at Navy Yard’s the Salt Line. Guests can pick up Fraser Fir and Douglas Fir Trees starting at $50, as well as tree stands, wreaths, garland, and collectable ornaments. All proceeds go to the DC Firefighters Burn Foundation.

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Georgetown Events' “Elf on the Shelf” Instagram contest is now under way. Keep a lookout for George the Elf now through Christmas at Jetties, Surfside, Due South, and Millie’s, post a pic to Instagram, and tag @georgetownevents and the restaurant. The first three posters each week get a $25 gift card to that spot.

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Local chain Chef Geoff’s just debuted an unlimited burger card, which entitles the cardholder to as many burgers as they can eat within the 50 days following Christmas at any of its locations. The card costs $199 (the cost of 12 burgers), so it’s definitely a deal for burger lovers. Along with the Chef Geoff's burger, there’s the turkey burger, salmon burger, black bean burger, and lamb burger to work into the binge rotation.

PETWORTH—Starting Friday, Hank’s Cocktail Bar and head bartender Jess Weinstein will unveil a booze-filled advent calendar. A decorative cabinet door behind the bar will rotate a daily design to represent the festive special of the day.
