Halloween continues through the rest of the year, thanks to a new Star Wars-themed pop-up at Mythology that encourages drinking while donning a Darth Vader costume.
The sci-fi experience, dubbed The Dark Side Bar, is scheduled to debut Wednesday, November 15, and will run for two months into the new year at 816 H Street NE. The latest installment of the blockbuster film franchise, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, hits theaters Friday, December 15.
The Dark Side Bar comes from the same team behind Mythology’s last movie-fueled pop-up: an Anchorman-themed bar, Stay Classy. The Dark Side Bar is also slated to appear in NYC and Hollywood.
The team is promising a “truly immersive galactic experience” with the $33-per-person admission, which includes two cocktails. Tickets can be reserved online.
On tap for programming: rotating nightly events like “alien speed dating” and an “intergalactic burlesque show” with performers “from many different planets,” as well as themed dance and DJ nights and trivia.
Expect six galaxy-inspired cocktails, as well as small plates for sharing (stay tuned for menu details and pricing). Patrons can walk in, but reservations are encouraged.
