Holiday revelers hoping to immerse themselves in a Seussian classic this Christmas need look no further than the new Grinch-themed pop-up at Town Tavern.
The Adams Morgan drinking den last transformed itself into a flick-inspired wonderland a few months back when it channeled all things Hogwarts for a spell. This time around, Washingtonian reports that Town Tavern has decked its halls with Whoville-centric decorations, twinkling lights, shiny ornaments, and a “Grinch’s lair.”
There’s also specialty cocktails (think: hot apple cider spiked with rum, as well as bright green drinks), holiday treats (cookies, other sweets), and even some potential stocking stuffers (Grinch koozie, anyone?).
Tickets to themed happy hours, open bar parties, and other promotional events are available here. The seasonal festivities are scheduled to run from now through New Year’s Eve.
Prefer a less cartoony environment? The annual Miracle on Seventh Street pop-up is back — and so are the insanely long lines — in Shaw.
