Nationwide chain Daily Grill is shutting down its Georgetown location (1310 Wisconsin Avenue NW) on Sunday, December 17, bidding farewell to neighborhood diners after nearly two decades in the tourist-friendly area.
“Thank you to all our loyal guests and the Georgetown community for your support for 18 great years,” management wrote in an announcement shared via social media.
Daily Grill, which first entered the hospitality landscape in Southern California in late 1988, expanded across the country by serving edible Americana including popcorn shrimp with remoulade, onion ring-topped bacon cheeseburgers, spaghetti with meatballs, chicken pot pie, and fudge brownie ice cream sundaes.
Eater reached out to parent company Grill Concepts, Inc., for comment about how/if the pending closure would affect the Daily Grill outposts in Dupont Circle (1200 18th Street NW) and Bethesda, Maryland (1 Bethesda Metro Center) but has not yet heard back.
