Late-Night Mexican Food Arrives in Potomac, Plus More Intel

Events-centric Mythology bar is consolidating in the new year

Budding local chain Gringos & Mariachis is opening its second location Tuesday, December 5, beside newly resurrected Addie’s in the Park Potomac complex. Bethesda Magazine reports that the taco- and tequila-centric spot created by restaurateur Roberto Pietrobono plans to stay open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays to provide late-night dining options in the evolving area. Ch-Ch-Changes

Frozen Tropics reports that pop-up friendly Mythology has closed its downstairs operation but plans to bring everything together on the second level in early 2018. The upstairs is currently hosting Star Wars-themed Darkside bar; the first floor is becoming the first District outpost of North Carolina-based chain Clean Eatz.

Cookie couture

Retailer Madewell and cult bakery Milk Bar have cooked up a new line of cross-branded clothing and sweets including bandanas ($18.50), denim aprons ($40), and a new blueberry cookie mix ($25). The collaborative collection is scheduled to debut Thursday, December 7, at Madewell and Milk Bar stores.

Coming Attractions

Popville reports that nightlife vets Eric and Ian Hilton are putting their stamp on Logan Circle via a new pool hall/cocktail lounge headed to 1400 14th Street NW. The forthcoming Player’s Club is projected to seat about 90 inside, while multi-story French 75 aims to accommodate guests at a lounge and rooftop garden.
