IOTA Club & Cafe regulars Harry Blackwood and Melissa Mannon are charging ahead with their “Save IOTA” campaign, a grassroots effort to spare the local music club from an uncertain future. ARLnow reports that the duo are seeking additional information about a proposed redevelopment plan that could displace the long-standing venue. Hanara Sushi owner Wesley Yao is expanding his restaurant portfolio today with the debut of Pupusa Kitchen. Bethesda Magazine reports that the new takeout spot, located at 7812 Norfolk Ave., will share a kitchen with the adjoining Asian restaurant but is expected to focus on Salvadoran food. [Bethesda]

Quara Ethiopian Restaurant in Adams Morgan is prepping a new venture in the Atlas District. Per District Cuisine, Quara Ethiopian Fusion is slated to take up residence at 818 H St. NE at some point. “The building is currently undergoing a major renovation but still has a long way to go,” DC notes.
