Mason Dixie Biscuit Co. has pulled out all the stops for the debut of its brick-and-mortar drive-thru, which is scheduled to officially get rolling on Saturday, April 15.
With the total renovation of the former Dolphins Fish & Chicken (2301 Bladensburg Road NE) nearly complete, the former pop-up dining project is anxious to show off its retro-styled digs and updated menu options (think: fried chicken meals; Milk Cult-made desserts).
As part of the grand opening festivities, Mason Dixie plans to reward the first 100 customers who purchase something once the doors swing open at 9 a.m. on Saturday — a ceremonial ribbon cutting is scheduled to take place at 8:30 a.m. — with cards entitling them to one free breakfast sandwich per day for the following 90 days. The restaurant has also scheduled a “kids happy hour” for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on April 15.
Children and adults are invited to hunt for prize-filled eggs on Easter Sunday; the kids’ versions are projected to house toys, while grown ups should look forward to collecting promotional goodies on April 16 ranging from 10 percent off a future purchase to free meals.
The company has also partnered with Lyft, reserving 500 coupons worth 20 percent off rides to or from the new arrival during opening weekend.
Mason Dixie Biscuit Co. Drive-Thru is scheduled to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week.
