GLOVER PARK—A new cocktail garden opens tonight at the Kimpton Glover Park Hotel, complete with green walls, hanging lanterns, couches, and cast iron bistro tables. Take in the au naturel scents of lavender, rosemary, and thyme growing in planter boxes. For sips, there’s tiki-inspired classics like Creole Punch (watermelon juice, rum, and a blend of spices) and Rum Hurricane.

GEORGETOWN—Eater just toured Ladurée, the Parisian patisserie parlor set to open early next week on M Street NW. We got a sweet surprise, finding out it’s got way more than macarons on the menu (savory sandwiches are aplenty). Eater just had afternoon tea with the owners, who are in town for an invite-only party tonight with the French ambassador. Stay tuned for more details about the space tomorrow.

ALEXANDRIA—River Bend Bistro & Wine Bar is celebrating early warm weather by adding soft crabs to their menu as a limited-time special (the crustacean is not typically seen on menus until later in the season). The regional favorite is being served with Lemon Caper Butter, Risotto with Day Boat Sea Scallops and Grilled Ramps and followed by a Strawberry-Rhubarb Cobbler.

PENN QUARTER—This May, nopa Kitchen + Bar will expand its burger repertoire for National Burger Month. Each week, exec chef Matt Kuhn will showcase one unique burger; one is the Crispy Soft Shell “Burger” BLT with bacon-tomato jam, local arugula, and tomato aioli.
