The ownership team that purchased the Friendship Heights restaurant formerly known as Chadwicks (or Chads, for short) has come up with a new name for the establishment: Chatter.
The Washington Business Journal reports that partners Tony Kornheiser, Maury Povich, Gary Williams, and Alan Bubes “agreed to go with a strong, two syllable name, ultimately settling on one that started with ‘Ch,’ for continuity's sake.” The name change also sets up a new dimension to the bar’s in-house entertainment: Kornheiser is expected to begin taping episodes of The Tony Kornheiser Show from a studio within the restaurant on Monday, May 1.
Opening Alert
Penn Quarter Living reports that Kofuku Ramen & Sushi now open at 815 Seventh Street NW. The upstart restaurant has taken over the space formerly occupied by Wah Shing Kung-Fu Gift Shop. [PQL]
Expansions
