Baba, the stay-all-day lounge that aims to gussy up grandma’s house, debuted last month in Clarendon beneath sister restaurant Ambar.
The 56-seat spot from co-founder Ivan Iricanin includes antique chandeliers, a bar top fashioned from reclaimed wood, and complimentary Wi-Fi and dedicated USB outlets throughout.
There’s tapas-style Balkan dishes in the evenings, and coffee and breakfast fare from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for early risers.

The But First, Coffee News: Yelper Shereen H. works downtown and “was so excited to hear that they'd be serving La Colombe coffee.” She “especially enjoyed the mocha and the Balkan eggs ... They could do better with the cornbread basket, $6 for two small pieces served on a plate is a bit steep (but they were delicious!).” [Yelp]
