COLUMBIA HEIGHTS—Sticky Fingers Bakery will be donating $1 to Comfort Cases throughout the month of May for every charity-themed cupcake sold. The nonprofit provides kids in foster care with overnight bags filled with comfort and essential items.
DUPONT CIRCLE—Bar Dupont unleashed its weekly music series “Dupont Live” on May 11, as well as introducing a patio menu that includes new cocktails, a dozen different rosés, and bites from local Rappahannock Oyster Company. Each Thursday at Dupont Live through July, a different surprise musical act from the area will hit the stage for a set from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
GEORGETOWN—Ben & Jerry's founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield will be honored with the Business Luminary Award on May 20 at the inaugural Halcyon Awards Gala; the duo are projected to scoop ice cream for those in attendance. Restaurateur José Andrés is scheduled to receive the Arts Icon award. Added bonus: a “neon-themed” after-party at Union Station.
M STREET—Tredici Enoteca at The St. Gregory Hotel is currently fielding a special gluten-free menu in honor of Celiac Awareness Month. Tredici D.C.’s 4-course, gluten-free menu is priced at $35 per person (tax and gratuity not included), and is available exclusively during dinner service.
DOWNTOWN—Cuba Libre executive chef Angel Roque has freshened up the menu, incorporating dishes including ceviche with hamachi, as well as pan-roasted chicken with mango-passion fruit sweet-and-sour sauce. The latest addition to the unlimited tapas brunch on weekends ($29 per person) summons poached egg with chorizo, smoked ham, asparagus, and Creole tomato sauce.
