14TH STREET—Le Diplomate’s seasonal ice cream cart is poised to return on May 26, bringing with it gourmet glaces and sorbets ($6 per dual cone) bearing flavors ranging from tropical passion fruit to muddled pistachio. The pedal-powered cooling station is projected to operate from 11 a.m. till closing on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. till closing on Sundays.
CAPITOL HILL—Bistro Cacao chef Kemal Deger is preparing meals plucked from artist Salvador Dali’s surrealist cookbook May 22 through May 26, and he’s rewarding those who show up at the restaurant in “Daliesque” garb with gift certificates worth $25 off future visits. The weeklong dining event will be contained to the seats at the “Community Table.”
GEORGETOWN—Now that it’s opened up The Yard for the season, The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown is putting the airy space to good use every weekend by hosting a bottomless brunch. The two-course prix fixe menu ($45 per person) includes unlimited MYO mimosas and bloody Marys, along with hearty fare ranging from S’mores French toast to and South Street Burger featuring Black Angus beef, prosciutto, Brie, and an optional fried egg. Brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
