As of June 1, Top Chef alum Mike Isabella plans to turn the ground floor of his flagship restaurant, Graffiato, into a modified version of his fast-casual sandwich shop, G by Mike Isabella, during lunch hours.
The partial swap includes bringing over roughly half of the gourmet subs featured at the original location, including all three “Italian Classics” selections (chicken parm, meatball, hero), the roasted turkey sandwich, the roasted cauliflower sandwich, and a chicken salad creation. The signature goat and lamb offerings, as well as a slate of breakfast sandwiches, are not listed among the items migrating to Graffiato.
A company spokeswoman told Eater that this new incarnation will not affect the original G in any way. “It will stay as is,” she said. Graffiato is expected to continue serving its lunch menu on the upper level of the restaurant — along with the stripped down G sandwich menu — and will continue to do its regular dinner service on both floors of the restaurant.
The other thing the original G and the new G at Graffiato are expected to share is the “sandwich madness” competition, which currently pits journalists/guest sandwich makers against one another for charity.
