International fast-food chain CaliBurger is kicking off a pop-up residency at NoMa’s Wunder Garden (1101 First St NE) tonight by giving away one order of burgers and fries per customer from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The West Coast-born operation focuses on beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries and milkshakes.

Sweet Home Cafe executive chef Jerome Grant is scheduled to discuss the ins and outs of educating people one meal at a time June 11 on a new internet talk show titled Career Infusion. The weekly webcast, which is projected to run from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, promises to cover all manner of business topics including “the value of networking, balancing faith and career, dressing to impress, and so much more. You will hear from experts and notable guests about how they launched their careers and their words of wisdom to emerging leaders,” is how Tracy Kane Lofty, the host of the show and CEO of career-oriented The Lofty Group, describes the inspirational programming on the broadcaster’s website.

Chicago-based sandwich maker Potbelly is offering 40 percent off any of its “Originals” sandwiches from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 1 to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The corporate chain is also selling birthday cake-flavored shakes as well as commemorative jars of its signature hot peppers.
