GREENBELT—Good news for lunch: A food truck hub was just approved at Capital Office Park. The 810,000-square-foot business campus will start welcoming trucks from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. one or two days a week, starting with El Pollo Submarine. Others coming soon include Irie Café, Halal Kitchen, Honey's Empanadas, and Jammin' Flava.
MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Leading up to the 186th Belgian National Day on Friday, July 21, restaurateur Robert Wiedmaier is offering food and drink specials at different restaurants around town. Mussel Bar and Grille locations have all-you-can-eat mussels, any type, for lunch and dinner for $28, while beer haven Brasserie Beck has the deal from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. to close. Brasserie Beck’s also got three courses at lunch for $35, with a “Belgian Keg Stand” with Wetten Importers set for Tuesday, July 18 at 4 p.m.
MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Washingtonian just posted its 2017 Cheap Eats guide to ethnic dining around the region, which includes “Afghan kebabs and American barbecue to Uyghur noodles and Vietnamese sandwiches, all for less than $25 a person.”
