Timber Pizza Company chef Daniela Moreira, just named a 2017 Eater Young Guns winner, is adding more to her plate this month with the debut of a new breakfast pop-up across town.

The morning menu of pizzas, pastries, and more is coming to Porrón by Anxo on Friday, July 20 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anxo’s summertime spot in Barracks Row, featuring shandy-style drinks and patio furniture, just debuted at 525 Eighth Street SE.

Timber is moving its wood-fired oven from Petworth over to the Southeast space to make breakfast empanadas (egg, cheese, bacon or seasonal veggie), bagels, biscuits, pastries, and some of its most popular pizzas, including the Green Monster (basil, fresh mozzarella, feta cheese, kale, zucchini) and The Bentley (tomato sauce, provolone, mozzarella, cured chorizo, sopressata, Peruvian sweet peppers, spicy honey).

Timber pastries range from $3 to $5; expect pizzas ($12 to $16) to be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The wood-fired creations will be paired with coffee, espresso, and cold brew from Lost Sock Roasters, which will also sell coffee beans by the bag ($12).

Porrón by Anxo is serving up breakfast every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition, the busy brand just debuted weekend breakfast at the new Anxo Cidery & Tasting Room in Brightwood Park (711 Kennedy Street NW).
