Another win for early risers

Frozen Tropics reports that plant-based diner and bar Fare Well, which just celebrated its one year anniversary in June, is now serving breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. during the week, and is opening an hour earlier (at 10 a.m.) for weekend brunch. Featured items include a variety of vegan-friendly pancakes, breakfast tacos, and a frittata. [FT]

Peruvian spin-off nears completion

Bethesda Magazine reports that construction-plagued La Limena Grill is now scheduled to open Monday, August 7 in Rockville. The sophomore effort from the owners of Latin American-themed La Limena Restaurant, was originally projected to open last fall. [BM]

Limpert hails Capo’s hoagies

Washingtonian restaurant critic Ann Limpert says the sandwiches at Shaw newcomer Capo Deli “will make you weep with gratitude.” Her favorite: an Italian sub layering cold cuts and cheese within a hard-to-beat sub roll. “The Lyon Bakery hard roll dotted with sesame seeds is the standout,” she says.
