Burgeoning sandwich chain Taylor Gourmet has brought back the double cheeseburger special it sprung on local diners last summer, a menu update that’s sparked an outpouring of love on social media.
Twitter user Monica Dutia needed four exclamation points to communicate to friends just how excited she was to see the SP Double Stack — which features two beef patties, two types of onions (raw and griddled), American cheese, shredded lettuce, and special “boom boom” sauce — back in the dining rotation.

One Hungry Lobbyist contributor was so moved by the burger’s original appearance, she wrote a poem about it.
During that initial go-around last July, Taylor Gourmet kept the deal going for just one week. This time, the burger is being served after 4 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on weekends, at every Taylor Gourmet location (except the one at Reagan National Airport), from now through March.
Hungry Lobbyist borrowed a page from Matt Drudge and broke out the sirens.

While Twitter user Melinda Contreras celebrated the news by channeling her inner Liz Lemon.
