Winter Restaurant Week is back, which means dozens of restaurants across the area are offering special prix fixe menus ($22 for lunch/brunch; $35 for dinner) for at least the next seven days (extensions have become the norm).
But what about diners who wish to skip the pre-set meals, whether they’re more interested in ducking crowds, prefer charting their own course, or have other concerns about the biannual dining event?
Here’s a list of more than five dozen new, interesting or reliable restaurants not participating in the official Restaurant Week (though some may have competing deals of their own), conveniently organized by neighborhood.
