CITYCENTER—Fruitive, North America’s first certified organic fast casual restaurant, is hosting a 30-day intermittent fasting challenge beginning Monday, January 15. Led by owner Gregg Rozeboom and monitored by Jennifer Van Horn, Fruitive’s in-house nutritionist, the online program includes a suggested meal and exercise plan and discounts from Nuboxx Fitness, Sweat DC, and District Pilates.

DOWNTOWN—Oceanaire is offering a “Whites of Winter” promo, aka a pick-your-own white wine flight of four vintages from 15 sommelier-approved selections priced at $19. Additional pours can be added at $5 each. Valid from Monday, January 8, through Friday, March 9.

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—Longtime D.C. power spot Morton’s turns the big 4-0 this month, and to celebrate, the chain steakhouse is offering a three-course meal priced at $40. While supplies last, guests can pair meals with a bottle of Two Hands “Sexy Beast” Cabernet Sauvignon for $69. Valid from Monday, January 8, through Sunday, January 14.

NAVY YARD—Ana at District Winery is launching its weekday lunch menu on Monday, January 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Executive chef Michael Gordon and chef de cuisine Benjamin Lambert added root vegetable bisque ($15), duck wings ($12), and a smoked turkey club ($16) into the mix for the midday meal.

NAVY YARD—Due South is capitalizing on the hype around the anticipated College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, January 8, by throwing a watch party. Watch Alabama’s Crimson Tide take on Georgia’s Bulldogs while sipping Frozen Gallette’s Yellowhammers — the classic cocktail served at Gallette’s Bar located right outside Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. There will also be game day food specials, as well as lots of giveaways.

SHAW—Take refuge from the cold at El Techo’s new “greenhouse” setup, dubbed Casa Verde, beginning Friday, January 12. The rooftop adult treehouse is transforming into a winter respite, complete with hot and cold cocktails to accompany its Latin American street food. Expect plenty of greenery to deck out the 15-foot cathedral tent that’s just been installed (and will of course be heated).

U STREET—One Busboys and Poets location (2021 14th Street NW) just got the green light to stay open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday night; expect round-the-clock dining options including crispy Brussels sprouts and a new, vegan barbecue beef sandwich.
