Presidential antagonist in chief José Andrés is showing his support for any journalists ensnared in the “Fake News Awards” President Donald Trump now plans to unleash on the nation Wednesday, January 17, by offering to buy anyone blasted by 45 a free meal.
To all the winners for Mondays’s Dishonest and Corrupt Media Awards of @realdonaldtrump I want to contribute with lunch on me in any of my restaurants as a reward.... https://t.co/LuCkd0c1pG

“I want to contribute with lunch on me in any of my restaurants as a reward,” Andrés alerted those expected to catch flak from the Oval Office regarding coverage of Trump’s first year in office.
The combative commander-in-chief had originally planned to unload on his many critics Monday, January 8, but has postponed the public airing of grievances until next week because he says, “the interest in, and importance of, these awards is far greater than anyone could have anticipated!”
The Fake News Awards, those going to the most corrupt & biased of the Mainstream Media, will be presented to the losers on Wednesday, January 17th, rather than this coming Monday. The interest in, and importance of, these awards is far greater than anyone could have anticipated!

Andrés, who made no secret of his disdain for Trump last year, has continued to prod the polarizing POTUS in 2018, alternatively engaging with the social media fanatic about unfulfilled campaign promises and blocking him entirely.
No word yet on whether Andrés’ offer is limited to his D.C.-area restaurants. But at least one local reporter is already digging for details.
