El Sabor Bar & Grill just debuted in the heart of Manassas, Virginia, bringing suburbia a new option for tacos, tequila, and chimichangas in an artsy and sleek setting.
The 7,500-square-foot newcomer (10352 Festival Lane) is owned by local restaurateur Zheng Hai Zheng, who runs several Chinese restaurants. El Sabor Bar & Grill is his first foray into Mexican cuisine.
The chef is an alum of several Tex-Mex destinations, including Cactus Catina in Cathedral Heights and Guapo’s in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Starters include ceviche and nachos, followed by taco platters and enchiladas. There’s also meat dishes featuring grilled New York strip steak and shrimp-heavy seafood entrees.
Here’s a look at the opening menu:

El Sabor serves lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday to Saturday. Its first Yelp reviewer Tony T. signed off on the authenticity of his Mexican meal, calling the flavor “very close from my home country.”
H&R Retail principals Lawrence Hoffman and Scott Yurow represented both sides in the deal.
Downtown Manassas recently got another new dining option this summer with the arrival of Crossroads Tabletop Tavern, an entertainment venue packed with 1,400 board games.
