Rockville Pike got another Asian food hall this week with the arrival of Pike Kitchen, which brings build-your-own bowls, banh mi, and caffeinated Thai concoctions to the growing dining scene off Interstate 270.
The all-day setup at Edmonston Crossing shopping center (1066 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland) features fare from eight vendors in a shared setting. Pike Kitchen started slinging a smorgasbord of Asian offerings on Wednesday, November 7, owner James Park tells Eater. Park, a principal at OCC Real Estate, also runs local eateries including Shilla Bakery, Tous Les Jour Bakery, and Bonchon Chicken.
Pike Kitchen’s opening lineup of vendors includes Bowl Play for Korean bibimbap and Hawaiian poké bowls; Pike Bakery for Korean baked goods and coffee; Monster Tea for bubble tea stand; J Viet for pho and banh mi; Japomen for ramen counter; Pike Chicken & Beer for boneless fried chicken and drafts; K Street for Thai street food and kimchi tacos; and Kogyro for thinly sliced meats and platters.
The opening of Pike Kitchen follows this summer’s debut of another Asian-inspired food hall in Rockville, The Spot, which serves similar selections like Taiwanese bubble teas, fried chicken, and Thai ice cream (255 N Washington Street).
