Married pastry chefs turned restaurateurs Camila Arango and Tom Wellings are opening their first brick-and-mortar eatery on Saturday, February 3 just down the block from dining hub Union Market. Pluma by Bluebird (391 Morse Street NE), which builds upon on the pop-up bakery the seasoned duo first introduced to the area a few years back, is projected to feature baked goods (croissants, seasonal sweets), coffee, gourmet sandwiches, pizza, beer, and wine.

Popville reports that Shaw restaurant Thally is closing on Saturday, February 3. The not-quite-five-year-old neighborhood eatery featured contemporary food (gourmet burgers, roast chicken) and dozens of hard ciders.
