Gregorys Coffee, the NY chain that first landed in the District right before Thanksgiving opened its latest downtown location (1147 20th Street NW) on February 8. Next up: stacking a fourth shop at 1101 Connecticut Avenue NW. Status: Certified open. 1147 20th Street NW; website.

Developments

Washington Business Journal reports that Alexandria Restaurant Partners, the hospitality group behind homegrown eateries Virtue Feed & Grain, Vola’s, and Majestic, is now part owner of Old Town standby Theismann’s. No immediate changes are planned.

The Shutter

Bethesda Magazine reports that the temporary closure at Addie’s replacement Helen’s on the Pike is now permanent. Owner Helen Wasserman, who broke her wrist last December, tells Bethesda she is open to partnering with others on restaurants in the future.

East MoCo reports that the new Mexican taqueria Ambar founder Ivan Iricanin is assembling in Silver Spring, Maryland, will have a rooftop deck.
