Local restaurateurs Alonso and Alvaro Roche are celebrating the arrival of their latest Bethesda eatery, Frida Beer Garden, by offering $2 off all draft beers produced by Maryland breweries from Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18.
The new drinking spot, which is taking up residence along sibling restaurant and recent addition Tacoarepa (4905 Fairmont Avenue), is projected to serve the same nachos, tacos, arepas, and quesadillas offered next door.
Featured pours on opening weekend include: Rar Brewing’s Country Ride pale ale and Nanticoke Nectar IPA; Manor Hill Brewing’s Citra Stupor imperial IPA, Crooked Beak IPA, and Pilsner; Oliver Brewing Company’s 206 IPA and Speed of Darkness Russian imperial stout; Diamondback Brewing Company’s Green Machine IPA; and a lager from Waredaca Brewing Company. In addition to offering the discounted brews, management plans to donate half of all sales through Saturday, March 31 to international relief effort Accion Humanitaria por Venezuela.

Frida Beer Garden, which has built-in games (Nerf basketball, cornhole, dominoes) and will share 100 outdoor seats with Tacoarepa, is projected to operate from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on March 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on March 17, and from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on March 18.
