Canopy by Hilton just opened a new location in Bethesda, Maryland at the Pike & Rose development — the brand’s second in the U.S. following its debut last fall at the Wharf — featuring sandwiches, baked goods, and pizzas.
While there’s no soaring waterfront views like the one rooftop bar Whiskey Charlie boasts in Southwest, Canopy’s new sister property (940 Rose Avenue, North Bethesda, Maryland) does have the all-day Canopy Central Café and Bar.
Fare includes crab rolls, matzo ball soup, a burger, turkey sandwich, chicken salad, and flatbreads. An on-site bakery churns out flourless chocolate cake, croissants, and carrot cake. Per a release, the hotel is sourcing produce “from Maryland farms located within 50 miles of the hotel.”
Adjacent to the third-floor restaurant is an outdoor bar dubbed Pike’s Perspective Terrace, featuring cocktails made with local producer One Eight Distilling’s Rock Creek Bourbon. Beers hail from local breweries, including 7 Locks Brewing in Rockville, Jailbreak Brewing in Laurel, and Waredaca Brewing Company in Damascus.
The Pike & Rose development is packed with a growing group of restaurants, including upscale bowling alley Pinstripes, standalone Cava Grill, and forthcoming Jinya Ramen Bar.
