With his Georgetown restaurant still in the works, chef Johnny Spero is offering additional previews of the food he plans to serve at forthcoming Reverie via tasting dinners he’ll be staging at the award-winning Columbia Room.
An alum of Minibar and Komi, Spero announced that he was bringing Reverie to D.C. (3210 Grace Street NW) in late 2016. The upscale restaurant is projected to feature both a la carte offerings as well as a tasting menu; Spero currently makes four-course meals paired with cocktails, wines, and spirits at Columbia Room’s tasting room.
He’s expanding on previous pop-up appearances by scheduling multiple rounds of five-course dinners with drink pairings provided by Columbia Room colleague and Drink Company beverage director JP Fetherston. The initial dinners are scheduled for 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday April 10, and 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24. Each all-inclusive ticket (food, drinks, tax, and 20 percent gratuity) is $185 per person. Reservations are available here.
