Game on

Restaurateur Ian Hilton tells Eater his new subterranean bar, Players Club, is now scheduled to open at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 12. The Logan Circle drinking den/adult arcade (1400 14th Street NW) is stocked with vintage video games, Skee-Ball, and other electronic diversions; all food orders will be filled by the Shake Shake right upstairs.

Beer here

Area newcomer Eavesdrop Brewery (7223 Centreville Road, Manassas, Va.) is scheduled to begin pouring its orange-spiked farmhouse ale and hazelnut-flavored rye porter at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 9. The fledgling beer maker is projected to operate from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 11.

Coming attractions

Bethesda Magazine reports that two new restaurants — including a sushi place aiming to have the “largest selection” of sake in the area, and an Indian eatery that plans to offer Champagne brunch on weekends — have signed on to open in the Pike & Rose complex in North Bethesda. Kusshi Sushi is tentatively scheduled to open this fall.

The Shutter

A tipster sent Popville a photo of now-defunct Maxime. A Yelp user found the nearly three-year-old Georgetown bistro (2915 M Street NW) locked up tight earlier this year, and its Facebook account has been deactivated.
