Spicy chicken slinger Nando’s Peri Peri will deliver Rosslyn another speedy lunch or dinner option starting next week.
The new Metro-accessible location at 1800 North Lynn Street will be the global brand’s tenth in the state when it debuts at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 12. The African-inspired design includes a colorful portrait by self-taught Johannesburg artist Nqabutho Phakathi, as well as bright hand-knit light shades and a suspended wood ceiling.
The Rosslyn location is projected to operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The addition of a new late-night eatery should be a boon to the historically sleepy 9-to-5 neighborhood.
There are currently six Nando’s restaurants in D.C.; 13 in Maryland; and 12 in Chicago, with about 1,200 worldwide.
