One year after bringing a classy equestrian vibe and craft cocktails to the Atlas District, Hill Prince is opening its highly anticipated outdoor bar on Friday, April 13.

The neighborhood drinking den, nestled in a restored 100-year-old carriage house, is from the team behind Navy Yard’s Whaley’s and soon-to-reopen hummus haven Little Sesame.

Hill Prince’s new whitewashed back bar can accommodate 30 patrons and is adorned with all kinds of ferns, lanterns, and overhead string lights. A brightly tiled bar serves as the centerpiece. The patio is projected to operate during the same hours as Hill Prince, weather permitting.

Planned activities include summer cookouts and DJs during the day. Hill Prince, named after a horse that won the Preakness, is also fine-tuning watch party details for the upcoming racing season.

“We are offering our full bar program, plus we’ll have some special warm weather cocktails in the lineup,” Hill Prince co-owner Nick Wiseman tells Eater.

The new patio is projected to open at 5 pm. on Friday, April 13.
