The cavernous 7,000-square-foot beer bar Church Hall gave Georgetowners a new drinking option on March 30.
The slightly hidden subterranean restaurant and bar (1070 Wisconsin Avenue NW), situated between retailer Frye and chain bakery Paul, comes from the hospitality gurus at Tin Shop (Penn Social, Big Chief, Franklin Hall).
Three bars serve up local brews from 28 draft beer lines, along with two draft cocktails, two boozy slushies, and wine. Chef Justin Clements’ opening menu includes a jumbo pretzel with cheese dip ($8), sweet potato tots ($6), crispy chicken wings ($10), and a spicy black bean veggie burger ($11).
