This is going to be a big summer for José Andrés’s American Eats Tavern: the Americana- themed restaurant from the D.C. chef is slated to open in a few months in Georgetown’s former Old Glory space.
Now José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup announced this week that OVATIONS by America Eats will open soon as the onsite restaurant at Wolf Trap National Park. Showgoers can dine al fresco pre-show, or choose from a selection of prepared picnics. Expect dishes inspired by historic dishes and drinks with local ingredients.
“We are thrilled to be forging a relationship with Wolf Trap, one of the most amazing locations in our country to experience a concert or performance,” Andrés said in a press release. “America Eats Tavern is all about celebrating the diverse culinary heritage in this country, and we are excited to complement the enriching experience of taking in a show at Wolf Trap!”
Reservations will be open to the public starting on May 6. The menu is not quite ready be revealed, but here’s a sneak peak of one dish in the photo below.
